Overview

Almarii is a two-sided fashion rental service. Shoppers browse and book designer outfits by the day from a native app, while the operator runs inventory, rentals, returns, and payouts from a single web dashboard. We designed and built both sides from the ground up.

The challenge

Renting clothing is harder than selling it. Every garment is a single unit that can only be in one place at a time, so bookings overlap and a spreadsheet cannot promise a customer that a dress is free on their dates. Almarii had the wardrobe and the warehouse but no product to rent it through.

Our approach

Cross-platform app

One app for iOS and Android from a single codebase. Shoppers browse by occasion, filter by size, and see live availability before they book, with the rental fee, delivery, and refundable deposit clear at checkout.

Availability engine

Every garment is a single unit. The engine holds each piece for a date range so two customers can never book the same outfit on the same days.

Operator dashboard

One screen turns the warehouse into a live view of orders, rentals, returns, and payments, with one-click actions to add stock, run a discount, or pull a report.

Results

Almarii shipped to the App Store and Google Play from one codebase and booked rentals in its first week. In the opening quarter it passed 1,248 rentals and 24,680 dollars in weekly revenue, up 22.7 percent week on week, with 842 rentals live at once and a 4.7 star average rating, and the operator runs the business from availability to payouts without a spreadsheet.

AppForger built both sides of Almarii, the app our customers love and the dashboard we run every day. They shipped fast and got the hard parts, like availability, exactly right.
